Ian Hodson
Founding memberIan is national President of Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union (BFAWU).
The BFAWU represent the interests of its members – campaigning for the abolition of zero hour contracts, protection of workers’ rights, an introduction of a £10 minimum wage, and ending the race to the bottom in the food industry.
Ken Loach
Founding memberKen is a trade unionist and film director. Born in 1936 in Nuneaton, he attended King Edward VI Grammar School and went on to study law at St. Peter’s Hall, Oxford. After a brief spell in the theatre, Loach was recruited by the BBC in 1963 as a television director. This launched a long career directing films for television and the cinema, from Cathy Come Home and Kes in the sixties to Land And Freedom, Sweet Sixteen, The Wind That Shakes The Barley (Palme d’Or, Cannes Film Festival 2006), Looking for Eric, The Angels’ Share and I, Daniel Blake (Palme d’Or, Cannes Film Festival 2016).

Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi
Founding memberNaomi was elected to Labour’s National Executive Committee in summer of 2022 and then expelled from the party for joining a panel discussion organised a year earlier by socialist groups the party had proscribed. She’s probably best known as media officer for Jewish Voice for Labour, standing up for democracy in our movement and the right to speak out for justice for Palestinians. She’s a member of the National Union of Journalists and the National Education Union and has a long history of anti-racist, international solidarity activism.
Andrew Feinstein
Founding memberAndrew is a former South African politician, Executive Director of Corruption Watch UK and chaired the AIDS charity Friends of the Treatment Action Campaign. Andrew also lectures and writes on South Africa and the global arms trade.
